I don't know why you don't promote your online store Ray ... but anyways..
You can buy what Ray is referring to here

I am not sure the wall thickness of the fuel rail is sufficient to allow proper threading and sealing. As for volume/pressure changes after tapping the fuel system; you won't have any regardless of where you tap into the fuel system, but you will be better off by tapping the fuel system in the main feed before any injectors/fuel rails.
There are some general rules to using nitrous safely on the RX-8;
1) Keep it simple.
2) Don't experiment with shots over 55 h.p. unless you can lose an engine without concern.
3) Only use the shot while in open-loop mode.

Yeah I didn't end up even trying to tap the rail, instead, I tapped and added a T fitting to the fuel line so I could run the other line I needed from there. Getting it buttoned back together now with a 35 shot; gonna have to verify the lines don't leak, but other than that...zoom zoom (hopefully.)

Mine never got "hot" ....
Ray has done way more installs and would be better to answer if heat is going to be an issue for you.

Just tripped across this searching something else, just thought I'd mention you can buy a set of those particular plugs on Amazon.com for $75 shipped. I know somebody else told me he paid $240/set for them .... that's a nice mark up ... lol
Hi all, I've been lurking around these forums for a few months now and feel I finally have a legitimate question that I cannot answer by searching.
So my situation is I just purchased a NOS brand wet kit complete with bottle warmer, all switches, and automatic bottle opener-so my kit is more or less complete. All that's left before I can install is changing the NGK oem plugs out, and replacing them with the NGK 3795 (L) and the NGK 5009 (T.) My question is, these racing plugs retail locally for about $78 a piece, so are there any other cold plugs FI users have tried and seemed to work well? If I have to, I don't mind spending the money, but if there's something cheaper that is equally effective I wouldn't mind giving it a try.
So, NGK racing plugs or something else?
-David.

I have no RX8 nitrous experience and will defer to your own in that application, but plenty of RX8 NA competitors and FI owners are using slightly colder plugs. For them there is no need to pay triple, but thanks for clarifying the matter since it is the subject of this thread. For $75 shipped the the R7440 plugs are significantly less expensive than the more commonly used R6725 race plugs, plus they are iridium like the OE plugs. The L plug used to be available in an 8 heat range, but apparently was discontinued.

The benefit is continuous WOT operation as in competition use. A street car that spends any considerable amount of time idling/cruising is going to isn't likely to benefit and generally speaking nitrous tends to be used in short spurts regardless so your comments make sense to me.
