Nitrous Kits

I know alot of people are using zex on the 8's for the FMU, but has anyone used regular wet nos or nitrous works kits without any problem. Also would I need to go to a colder plug with just a 50 - 55 shot?

Zex is just a name on the bottle. all the kits are basically the same.

I've used nitrous express on other cars so I will probably go with that, its just more wiring than a zex kit and I would have to use a window or a push button switch. Are the stock plugs good to go with a 50-55 shot or should I go colder?

window switches do not work with the 8. the zex kit is jsut hte more simple way to go.. However the other kits would work just alot less fool proof.

I'll probably just use the push button activation and of course only use it above 3k rpm. Anybody have any suggestions on plugs for a 50-55 shot?

ZEX,, Plug and play.

I use stock plugs and an Accessport for tuning. Don't do the 75 with out tuning.

I'm going to keep it at a 55 shot just so I don't have to worry about tuning and changing the plugs.

The Zex kit is going to be the easiest one to install. There should be a couple of build threads where Charles R. Hill took pictures. He also sells a spacer for the nitrous nozzles so he would be the one-stop source for both the infos and the parts you need

Is anyone boosted and running nitrous?
That might break 400RWHP easily, or break apexes trying.....

Also, why not direct port injection for the nitrous, instead of running it through the intake, tap two nozzle holes on the lower intake, near or almost in the engine intake ports.
Then use two nozzles instead of a single nozzles and the nitrous would not run through the upper intake at all.

The problem is: how would the nitrous mix with the a\f mixture in such a short distance? Also tuning for it would be a bit more problematic imho
Better use those nozzle for a water\meth system at this point!

What I meant was would you engage it at 3k rpm like you would in a piston engine.

I have the Typhoon 2 aswell and mounted the zex module on the back of the heat shield. drilled the hole into the intake tube and works perfect.

I did the same thing on my k&n V2 some black tape and black wire loom and the CHPs will never find it, I have the TB spacer and stealth nozzle so its super stealth!
