What is different between the interX and LT10 ?
Are they instal the same way .Splicing in factory loom to get crank angle sensor etc
There is no re-interpreting the factory signal like emanage ?? Is this right ?
If like this does it mean cold start problem ?This is advantage of piggy back .

Complete plug and play, runs great from the start and gives you all the control you need over the engine. Do a search for Interceptor-X on the site. there is a bunch of info you can find that will answer all your questions.
Good luck.

The interceptor is a modified Microtech. A standard Microtech will not work with the RX8. Microtech will not give technical support for the RX8, since their official distributor for RX8 applications is Mazsport.
As for amplifying the ignition, I don't think the stock coil packs will stand up; they barely survive running a stock motor. While I can't imagine why the Interceptor can't be adapted to trigger some kind of MSD box, I suspect that a more popular ignition mod will be upgraded coil packs like Bosch 715.

Actually the Intx does have an integrated ignition amplifier. Also, Microtech does support the Rx8 now, as can be seen on their website, but their unit is not plug-n-play.

The ignition has always been amplified with the Intx, as it is essentially a Microtech. When Mazsport said they need to upgrade the ignition, they mean changing out the coilpacks.

Edit: I just googled HEC715 and discovered the reason for Scott's excitement. Seems like these are THE coils to use for Microtech products. Every other search result is related to a Microtech install.

I used to be a dealer for Microtech and yes the HEC715's are THE coils of choice for the Microtech. There isn't anythingg special about the coils other than you can't get them here in the states unless you import them from Australia or get them second-hand from someone else that did.
The coils are just a High Energy Coil that some Australian domestic GM cars came with from the factory and are readily available in aftermarket parts stores in Australia.
Don't worry about getting hung up on HEC715 - they use them because 1)they work 2)they're cheap 3)you can get them almost anywhere.
almost any high energy single post coil from MSD can be made to work just fine.
