^ Haha the only problem with the peice is that there was almost too much oil feed length... but compared to where the GReddy instructions want you to go 100x's easier.

So all I'm waiting for to start up now is my IC outlet elbow. Things I'll be looking for upon first warm up:
1) Oil leaks from either end of the feed line/greddy adapter.
2) boost/vacuum leaks on all couplers
3) exhaust leak from DP to turbo

Now I'm not expecting to find anything wrong with these areas but they just seem to be the areas for most potential leaks. Anyone feel free to chime in for areas you had issues with right off the bat. My gauges are goin in on saturday.

I'm going to pick up some oil today... gonna go with 5w30 full synthetic. Also going to start premixing I think so going to pick up some outboard 2 stroke oil as well (8-12 ounces per tank).

Which leads me into another topic... spark plugs. I've heard people say to put the leading spark plugs into the trailing position and put leading plugs from an AT rx8 into the leading position. Am I going to need to do this or will I be fine on the stock GReddy?

You can use the stock trialing but get NGK BUR9EQP s (stock rx7 plugs) for the leading .

If you premix then you don't need to run as much oil through the omp (I cut mine back by 1/2) . Only can do this if you tune it yourself though .

You can check for boost leaks by shoving a vac cleaner on blow down the intake and wrapping a rag around it to seal it off . Then use soapy water and a squirt bottle and spray it on anything that can leak .

Okay, Thanks for the tip on the spark plugs and boost leaks.... as for the OMP I am getting Jeff to tune my car with the AP; maybe I'll just talk to him about it but I was also thinking that I could just use 4oz when I premix instead of 8oz... save me a bit of money.

.
MM increases the omp oil injection rate so it is debateable as to whether premix at a low ratio will add any protection to that or not .
I chose to do it the way i described because i prefer the omp to be the back up and premix to be the main source of lubrication .
Go with whatever MM suggests works with his calibrations

Yes, it has, and I e-mailed you the USPS Customs info the other day. Check your "usask" e-mail. If you did not get the e-mail I shall resend it.

Dude, the concern and information was passed along to GReddy on Friday afternoon, 22 minutes after I received it from you. I am pretty sure GReddy, and BHR's wholesaler, will handle it as soon as they can and as quick as they can.

Oil Catch Can installed; had some blue silicone hose left over that came with the RaceRoots catch can so did a little engine dress-up.

Cut my under trays and wheel well plastic and fit them back onto the car... it's starting to look normal again.

Recieved my Midpipe today.... the box looked like it went through a 3rd world country on foot when I picked it up and one of the bolt/ lock washer/ nut combo's was missing; assuming it fell out from one of the numerous holes that were in the box. Other than that the pipe looks to be in good shape.... I will fit it on later tonight after I pick up a new bolt and some washers.

Yeah thanks.... I hope you have a car to drive while you are installing; sometimes the unforseen can happen. I was planning on being done 2 weeks ago now.... Keep an eye out on my page, when I get some free time I will update the first few posts to summarize problems and tools I used to get around some of the harder stuff.

So I figured rather than sit around on my *** and do nothing as I have for the last 3 weeks waiting for the IC oulet I went and rigged together something that would fit so I could get the car started and hopefully do some logs. I bought some silicon hose to fit around the outside of the 50mm diameter pipe that I got with my kit (the improper IC outlet) which allowed for the 60mm couplers to fit snugly around the peice. I also had to cut about an inch off from the long side of the elbow that I had.

I also started the car. Everything seems to be fine; there was a bit of a high pitched noise which sounded like it was coming from the turbo, I immediately shut the vehilce off; upon restart the car ran fine; not sure if that is normal or not and yes I did prime the turbo by removing the fuel pump fuse and coil pack connections and cranking the engine. After letting the car idle for around 20 mins I went back out to check on it and it sounded like there was a faint ticking sound. It seems like it is coming from around the manifold/turbo area but it was really hard to pinpoint and was possibly just one of the belts from sitting for so long; potentially an exhaust leak though??

It is a check valve... came with the SSQV; my roommate has one on his SRT4 with the check valve also, just preventing any air from coming back in when it blows off on negative manifold pressures I believe. I tee'd my boost gauge into that line upstream of the checkvalve... that SSQV is quite amazing, it is blowing off even with -10mm Hgi in the intake manifold. Hopefully I can get a datalog off to Jeff within the next couple of days so I can start creeping into positive boost. Haha this is bad I have midterms this weeks, of coarse my car would be driveable again during exams, just to toy with me!

Anyway that IC outlet is pretty shitty and I'm sure it is a good flow restrictor considering it is 10mm too small diameter.... just needed to get some data logs in before winter, and my insurance expires for the winter on Nov. 18 so...
