you don't even have to disconnect the battery. just take the ECM cover off, disconnect all the plug harness and reconnect the stock ECM. that's it.

Are you joking?
You ABSOLUTELY MUST disconnect the battery before messing with harnesses.

As for pull start, get a couple of boys to just push the car for you, and shove it into 2nd gear, and let her rip.
Myne starts with a blown motor from a slight push. All you need is to crank that motor a little faster than what the starter is capable of.

PLEASE disconnect your (-) batt cable before pulling harnesses on the PCM!!! If you don't, I think the least that would go wrong would be that you will be replacing lots of fuses.
Also, is the tow-start method similar to other manual trans vehicles doing the pop-clutch start? Get the car rolling and pop the clutch while turning the key?
TurboRX8- how many maps do you have, and are you using separate maps for different seasons?

I have the standard 91, 93 and 110 octane base maps provided by Mazsport.

If pulling out the ecu gets my car started I am gonna leave it out all winter untill the weather starts to get warmer.

before anything... just try jump starting it. then if it doesn't work, pull the int-x. if it's the battery, the int-x drained my battery too and really doesn't have much to do with the cold weather

I can't pull start the car. We got another 2ft of snow yesterday and the car is burried.

The battery is definitely drained but I have a 600amp booster power box with jumper cables to start the car.

you don't have to disconnect the battery if the key is not turned on.

If you're still taking about disconnecting the PCM harness, the PCM has current flowing all the time, and the Int-X is wired directly to the positive and negative battery terminals (if you installed per Mazsport's instructions)

I uninstalled the interceptor-x and it started right up.

I let the car warm up and I brought it up slowly to 4,000rpm and let the throttle go and it stalled.

Something tells me I won’t be able to drive my car without the interceptor-x. Definitely a bitter/sweet moment.

Good news.

My car drives like stock without the int-x as long as I stay out of boost.

I get some popping sounds when slowing down but I can live with it for now. :D

Well now that the car is warm you should be able to plug the INT-X back in…. however!! Don’t let the car sit off over 24 hours no matter what you do if you are still below 30* F!!

I would find someone to pull start you i you think it;s flooded........otherwise it might be a really long and frustrating process.

You might want to hook up an inductive timing light and check that you have spark as well
sorry to hijack, is this true? i upgraded my injectors, and my mechanic wants to try to turn it on with oem ECU before we install the int-x to eliminate problems. please let me know if it's a good idea (we just need to know if it runs).thank you
steven

It will run but expect an extremely rough idle and lots of smoke.

i upgraded to mazsport injectore (680 & 750) i believe. what do you think?
basically, my mechanic wants to find out that after installing the turbo, is the set up running?
then, when installing the int-x, if the car has a problem, then it's the int-x. something like that. is it a good idea? what do you guys think?
one more itme, sorry to hijack
