The Australian models are supported on the AccessPORT.

I have several dozen Australian customers.

Read his original post in its entirety. Any model other than US is NOT fully supported. For USDM model you get the sbility to use the self tunning tools The ONLY way you can get tuning done on non-US models is by you. Why are we pretending it's anything other than this?

^ exactly, last time i checked Accesstuner race was not available for non US based cars? how else do we dyno tune with the cobb?

Suggestion for the Hymee SC guys :
Modify the following maps on the tune that comes with the kit :
Idle - set to 1100 (6 maps )
Calibrate the maf
Adjust the fan on temps
Scale the injectors (if non stock)
Load the PT map.

Then - fine tune using your piggyback .

I actually ran my setup like this for a while - worked great .
Let me know if you need help .

The main tuning issues you guys are going to have are with idle speed and possibly long term fuel trims messing with your tune.
As far as i know there is no way to adjust either of those with a piggyback so why not use the PT to a least get that part sorted .

^ for $1000 for the pro tuner (compare to $500 for cobb) i would expect it to do everything needed. why buy $1000 pro tuner and another 1500-2000 piggyback, your starting to push into base standalone pricing?

That was for the Hymee SC guys - who already have PT with the kit ......

And BTW - it will do everything needed - just needs a little talent/perseverance to learn to drive it

Fair point, but the hymee sc isnt cheap by any stretch of the imagination, I would expect that 5 years+ R&D would have it spot on. Jus Sayyin. ;)

Granted, But its hard to justify twice the price of the Cobb for a system less "refined"?

I'm not in any way trying to suggest that anyone buy the PT . I was merely offering a suggestion for those that already have it by default.

Cobb AP vs Hymee PT

been away for near on 3 years and its nice to see the debate over Cobb AP vs Hymee PT is still going on. LOL

Giustino 06-11-2011 06:32 PM

this is by no means a debate of which is better/more refine...more so what to use for the hymee supercharger and/or if you are in Australia for maf based tuning.
