leaves us with no reliable* way to tune our cars, especially on a dyno. so piggybacks like fcon and adaptronic is where the australian tuners are heading, for this reason.
Suggestion for the Hymee SC guys : Modify the following maps on the tune that comes with the kit : Idle - set to 1100 (6 maps ) Calibrate the maf Adjust the fan on temps Scale the injectors (if non stock) Load the PT map. Then - fine tune using your piggyback . I actually ran my setup like this for a while - worked great . Let me know if you need help . The main tuning issues you guys are going to have are with idle speed and possibly long term fuel trims messing with your tune. As far as i know there is no way to adjust either of those with a piggyback so why not use the PT to a least get that part sorted . |
^ for $1000 for the pro tuner (compare to $500 for cobb) i would expect it to do everything needed. why buy $1000 pro tuner and another 1500-2000 piggyback, your starting to push into base standalone pricing?

And BTW - it will do everything needed - just needs a little talent/perseverance to learn to drive it |

Fair point, but the hymee sc isnt cheap by any stretch of the imagination, I would expect that 5 years+ R&D would have it spot on. Jus Sayyin. ;)
Granted, But its hard to justify twice the price of the Cobb for a system less "refined"? |
Cobb AP vs Hymee PT
been away for near on 3 years and its nice to see the debate over Cobb AP vs Hymee PT is still going on. LOL
|
this is by no means a debate of which is better/more refine...more so what to use for the hymee supercharger and/or if you are in Australia for maf based tuning.
