Will you need an air gap in the gearbox?
Is a larger air gap needed to stop pressure build up in the sealed case?
I can’t say if it will work. It might, if it doesn’t it could cost you your supercharger.

Also changing the oil will mean removing the whole supercharger each time you need to change the oil.

I attached a hose to the return line and capped it so its easy to drain the oil. The inlet is not right at the top so there will be enough space for the oil to reciculate

Hello guys. I'm from germany. I bought a used hymee supercharger.
In the beginning i want to build it in my rx8 at self. But i'm missins same part and i'm not a modeler.
Now i become help from a germany rx8 specialist.
He have look over the parts an he is missing a blowoff valve. Is a blowoff valve usedful? How are you experience?
How have you solved the point with the oil filter. We found the solution with the long hose and to place it on the gearbox is not perfect.

Sorry for my bad english. I'm out of practice.

Has the supercharger a internal bypass / blowoff valve? Where it is? Is a blowoff valve needed?
My tuner would like to install one.

Yes it does ...it's integral with the plate that goes across to hold the intake pipe in place. I understand the valve was somewhat problematic however . I know skc blocked the internal access through the plate to the pressure source and fitted an aftermarket diverter valve.

I will change to engine oil to keep the supercharger cool. The high pressure pipe goes to the top and the return goes to the sump?

Can anyone advise where the return line goes. Does it go to the the remote oil filter or can I drain it to the sump?
