The captain (otherwise known as the skipper) of the English Cricket team entered the room where the Aussies were all having beers after a days play. The English captain (Douglas Jardine) addresses the Aussie skipper (Bill Woodfull) in a very English voice: "One of your players called me a bastard out on the field today, and I demand an appology".
The Aussie captain turned to his men, interupting there drinking, and asked of them "Which one of you bastards called this bastard a 'bastard'?"
D
DI hope that sort of explains the "its an Aussie thing".
{back on topic}
As I said before, alot of children born out of wedlock in Australia. Yet they all play nice together with their Foster siblings. So that's why they have Foster beer. Inreallybigcans.
Hymee - those lines are the only ones I have ever remembered from the whole Bodyline series... they're bloody hilarious.
RG - Fosters is not something Australians drink. It's the sort of stuff that is so bad we send it overseas. In fact I can't remember the last time I saw it on tap at a pub in Australia.
So much for getting back on topic
Sorry , mate - call me a bastard.

I've been watching "Desparate Housewives" tv show tonight...
One of em was doing a gig at a shiopping mall display for Buick, going thru the sales blurb over a microphone when her shiny blue ball dress gets snagged by the edge of the turntable that the car was spinning around on. This dyke of a female co-worker comes over and starts yanking on the snagged hem, shouting "Common ya bastard!"
Now, I'm not gonna suggest that the dyke was an Aussie. She must have seen that "Bodyline" though. :D
I must have been in an explosive mood earlier. Usually, I can shrug-off a one-liner that claims that I'm a bastard without a clue.
Right in the middle of playing with it.
I have a good buddy from all the way back to high school days who, when we meet, right away, we flip each other the bird.
I would truly be offended if one time in the future, he didn't! hehe.
Ok, so, sorry for the flip, Timbo and everybody. I would delete the post, but that would make the whole last page here totally not understandable.
A Foster-less cheers all!

A long time ago, the local Outback (that's authenticaly Aussie right? :D ) had something called 4X I think, or XXXX...I think it was an Australian brew and I recall it was not bad. But now they just have Fosters, or the usual suspects of non-Australian beers. Bastards!
I think every country must have a brew that they ship out so there's less of it at home. Some friends of mine from the UK used to laugh at the fact that our local pub carried Whatney's Red Barrel, but I don't actually know anyone who drinks it so I guess no one was fooled...

I don't mind going to the Outback for a meal when in the US. It is so not Australian. But close enough to the sort of food I like anyway. And the one I went to had XXXX bar towels and decorations, but when I asked for one they didn't have a farking clue what I was talking about... Stupid Bastards!
Fosters is rubbish. Even the stuff you buy in the US is brewed in North America (Canada?) I believe.
XXXX is more Queensland'er than Australian. I can even see the brewery from where I sit here at work. But sco won't admit to drinking that either!
Cheers,
Hymee.
BTW - Listen here ya' bastards, the topic is SUPERCHARGER
Hehehehe.

So there ya go Hymee you now have officially become the "BastardsBeerThread".
Like I'm the jet engine thread. Does bastardbeer have as much to do with your supercharger as jets do to mine? Are they going to have to take a breathalizer test to use your SC??
Anyway it's harmless fun and that's one of the reasons we have this forum. How would it be if it were government regulated? Politicly correct? :D

Well, I suppose the best answer I can give right now is that it will be released when it is good and ready
Not much point doing so before hand!
Look, I keep having anxiety attacks waiting for the no-lag, instant boost and blower whine. But there are things to design and manufacture. Then test etc. I wish I could snap my fingers and make it happen tomorrow.
And about the Barby car, yes, that is often in Phils workshop. The latest thing they did was put one of Phil's new cast manifolds on it (4 rotor version) and it jumped 20 something MPH on basically its first outing. But the new combo is only new, and has lots of potential. Last time I saw it, they were pulling the turbos off - the chute came off in the braking area, and she ended up in the emergency gravel trap. I saw what damage stones do to compressor impellers!!!
Cheers,
Hymee.

rotaryenvy,
Well spotted. The oil filter won't change at this stage. Unless something gets in the road and we have to remote mount it. The oil filler - we need to make something to re-route that a little bit. The stock oil filler is really a big snake anyway. Our one should be more direct, like the older rotaries. The dipstick still is acceible, but I think we might have to refine that a little.
And someone mentioned a while ago, in an other thread about buying off the shelf parts made it easy compared to the axial flow!!!
Cheers,
Hymee.
