also, wouldnt the power be about the same as racing beat has gotten from tuning/cracking the ecu?

so its pretty much like the interx, excpet with no installation required, just plug and play..in that case then, if you by Scotts turbo kit, it comes with the interx, would it be better to sell the interx or ask for it not to be included since you tune your own Ecu, or would it still be wise to use the interx becuase it would allow easier controll on the turbo?

Potentially. I do support Scott and his product though and you definitely won't find support better than his anywhere. It won't be easy to retune the factory ecu as the maps look very different from conventional aftermarket ecu's. It's an entirely new learning curve with them and there is far more to it. It won't be as easy as many people think it will be but it will be possible. I still don't know how they will make the factory ecu compensate for boost pressure but we'll see.

A reflash would be programmed to your exact parameters. No CELs. All functions like cruise control still operational, and the car would function like it came stock. It's the way to go, imo.

I realize everything works on the Interceptor. That wasn't my point. With a reflash, you shouldn't get the CELs and error codes when diagnostics are hooked-up to it.
Personally, if I had a programmed reflash I wouldn't let Mazda touch the car unless it was absolutely imperative.

there's nothing ridiculous about that goal. i haven't done it yet, but i haven't been driving the fd since it got run over. and i post up dyno sheets all the time. just because you don't look at them doesn't mean they're not there.

I know both of these guys so I'm not bad mouthing either of them but Brian is by far the most open person about what he does and how he does it. The rotary community needs more people like this. He is probably one of the world's smartest independent rotary people who isn't affiliated with Mazda, a race team, or a shop.

I dont have proof other then the time slips on the RX-7 Richy Rasodo built but he was getting over 700 HP on methonal on our dyno. He runs over 30 psi non intercooled. Methanol cools very well. Its a thought but an I/C may be a thing of the past when when running E85.
