Greddy Turbo Problems HELP!!
OK here it goes,
I started Last week having the shop install my greddy turbo kit, oil pan, ProFec e01, Turbo XS BOV
The problem i am having is that i am running Severd P2's @ 490cc and running map 15 that was provided to me by MadDog.
After the kit was all installed i started it up and the idle will be very rough, and then eventually stall
Is there anything somebody could do to help me get this thing running
Thanks guys

can you get your hands on an Wideband Air Fuel Monitor?
Even though your using MadDogs map... your in a different car, and that map wasn' tuned specifically for you. Its possible your running too lean in idle, and thats what the A/F might tell you.
Also, double check all the pipeing to make sure they are secure.

I have something kind of like that going on. My idle is 100% smooth though, unless i turn on the a/c. It has trouble starting occasionally, and i j ust replaced all the spark plugs. Anywhoo, it's probably just a bad starter since my engine has been flooded 3 times before it was rebuilt. I think to be honest that my prob is it is idleing too rich sumtimes. It should stay around 14 to 16 but my wideband gauge often displays it dropping at idle to 12 and sumtimes into the 11 range. So, i feel like it is idleing to rich and maybe thats what could be giving u problems too? Just a thought.

If you are running a Mad Dog Severed map, then the idle is controlled only by the original Mazda mapping in the ecu full stop.So any idle problem is due to your intake set up--something must be leaking---joints,BOV or something, are the vacuum hoses properly connected?

Yeah, the eManage is only active under boost. If your problems are at idle, then its not the tune. An the PCM isn't expecting to use the P2's until the high RPM. Tighten the BOV all the way just to make sure that it isn't leaking and causing this issue. You can then back-off of it. Also check that the MAF wasn't damaged in the install.
Plan B: verify the position of the 490cc injectors. Make sure they aren't installed in the P1 position.
My money is on the BOV.

Thanks for all the help guys I will definately check the bov tommrow to make sure its connected
As for the idle it won't even stay running for more than a second and if you feather the throttle it will stay running the exhaust smells oily but it may just be all the oils burning off the new parts
When I was talking to the mechanic he thinks there sounded like a loose vacum near the intake manifold
Any quick ways to tell if you blew an apex seal?
I don't think that's even a possibilty though because the car has NEVER stayed idling for more than 5 seconds

if what maddog said doesn't work, then I would go back and make sure everything is in the right place, and that everything is installed correctly. Is there a CEL on? I wish I could help you, but I'm just starting to understand the components of the Turbo...
