Greddy installation in process!!!

Hey guys! I am installing my greddy kit! One more for this team....
It will be ready for thursday evening.. I will post my impressions and dyno sheets..
Anyone knows the safe level of boost for this kit?
I thought it was 5 psi but i know people running 7 psi. What is the recommended level of boost?

Thanks
LS

The emanage is tuned for up to 7psi, so as long as you don't exceed that you should be okay.

7 psi across the rev range, but it lowers to 5 psi on the top end. This was done as originally Greddy could not source a colder spark plug & they did not want to have detonation on the high end.

That is actually a myth. Greddy did not, and could not do this since they do not have a boost controller. A simple spring loaded actuator type wastegate does not have the ability to regulate boost based on rpm.

The boost drop off is actually a flaw with the kit. I believe this happens because of the increased back pressure under heavy load (high rpm, tall gear) because the turbo is a restriction in the exhaust path. This results in a smaller pressure differential across the turbo and hence less energy to spin the turbo. A boost controller will fix this problem.

That's what was said in SCC. Don't shoot the messenger. I do have colder plugs in my car, but also I have installed a boost controller as I am going to 8 lbs. of boost in my car.
