My kit is stock and my engine has at least 50k on it. Compression was solid though. I just picked up a Cobb AP but it won't connect with the AP Manager. I'm running windows 10 and apparently I have to use a pre windows 8.1 machine to update the AP so it will work with Windows 8.1+...?

Yes you need windows or you need to do a work around like running a virtual machine, there is a thread about it here that dives in to it. I just bought a cheap old laptop with win 7 on it and use it only for tuning.

ya because i have a gutted cat therefore we already have one not ready fault on the ecu which i believe is overrode by the adaptronic for emissions testing, + i want everything to remain 'looking' emission compliant. we have DOT police here checking for those types of things.

does nothing anyway

edit; not running the air pump but the hose is installed so it looks like it, needed room for the meth pump.

adaptronic overrides nothing in regards to readiness. It can (optionally) clear all CELs but this does nothing to address emissions readiness testing.

yes......okay thanks for clarifying that makes more sense now....i already have one for not ready which you can get away with as a conditional pass, but you will not pass with 2 'not ready's'.

because i have no cat i get a CEL, thankfully the adaptronic over rides the CEL. (i think the not ready and the CEL are both from having no cat)

It can clear the CEL but from my understanding it cannot block them like the Cobb can.

some minor engine clean ups and color changes on the way.

On the original build I was limited to a few factors such as a stock motor, stock ignition, 6psi with a slight boost leak, stock plugs, small exhaust leak on the turbo flange , and low compression on the front bank (chipped apex seal near the corner) the car made around 231 hp on the dyno in the previous video. Moving forward with the freshly build motor with RX-7 seals,BNR turbo, new waste gate, exedy clutch, AEM marine coils, meth injection, vibrant couplers, T-bolts I’m hopeful to easily pass the 300 mark.

I have to do a break in period on the motor first, the new turbo spools fast and can easily reach 5 psi around 3,500 rpm if you’re on it. Before the final tune on meth I have to investin a 3” mid pipe and cat back. Right now I’m on a gutted cat and 2.5 stainless exhaust which would have been just enough for the original set up; which was my original intention..... but as you can see we all know how these projects go$$$....

We have used the windshield washer tank as the reservoir for the meth for additional capacity, and should be able to hit 14-16 psi on the final tune, with race plugs and a new fuel pump. One decision I have to make it whether I want to tune on water/meth or straight meth.

Which plugs are race plugs?

What are your plans for the vehicle? In all honesty though, I think your fueling setup/turbo setup won't really warrant the use of full meth. I vote 50/50.

colder plugs, i'm using stock plugs right now for the break in. and yes i'm also leaning more towards 50/50 on the meth. n

Need to sort out this CEL issue for emissions test and find a 3" exhaust.

There is a very good reason why people don't use 100% meth ....................

^actually people do use 100% meth....

I'm using 100% meth on my speed6 build. Auxiliary fueling. Bigger injectors aren't available for that particular direct injection application. big meth nozzles at the throttle body providing enough fuel to push 500+awhp when stock fueling only supports roughly 350awhp...

not in the windscreen bottle, but in the engine bay. Dangerous? yes, but I live my life a quarter mile at a time.

I like your spirit. Just be careful. I had an engine bay fire because of a leaky catch can and that was scary enough....
