Obviously you are correct. My whole point for 99% of the people out there is that the stock compression ratio is fine for the power levels they want. We can tune it. The other 1% out there will have some issues. I highly doubt we'll have a problem with your kit and the compression ratio at the power levels you are shooting for.

i get it now, it doesnt come off that way when you first read it. but yeah a large brand CARB legal would be nice, like APEX, HKS, Greddy, Blitz, etc

GReddy and Flyin Miata have CARB legal turbo kits for Miatas (and Jackson Racing has a supercharger). I think as long as the fuel and timing are controlled by a locked computer (like the RX-8 GReddy kit), they have a chance of going through CARB and being approved.
