Garret t3... Need help
The #1 best support component to have for any turbo installation is $10,000 in cash.
The 2nd best supporting component is a 2nd engine.
The rest is all in the details.
The subforum that you posted in is overflowing with information about the troubles you will have pushing more air into this engine, regardless of how you do that pushing. Start by reading up on the build threads. Our engine has exactly ZERO tolerance for mistakes or flaws, and even if everything is perfectly done, the exhaust port heat levels are too high for the engine to last all that long.
Best advice for you:
Sell the turbo to someone else and buy something else with the cash.

What they said.
I actually believe someone is looking for just the turbo.
EDIT: oops! I was thinking this was a different turbo. Damn hangover lol

you guys are silly, how do you know he isn't going to use this as a mantle piece .... clearly it can't be for any legit auto application when a guy walks in holding a snail and not sure where to go next.
your going to need to get with a shop that has the ability to weld,
step one is creating your manifold. tubular or log, then you will need to figure out where you are going to mount said turbo.
from there its down hill

your buddy didn't give you a turbo, he gave you a headache.
In all seriousness, going on FI on the 8 isn't as easy as most other cars. The aftermarket options are nowhere near as varied and the tuner support is not as vast. Take some time and read the major horsepower section.

I use to run T3 as the stock turbo on 2.3 fords, stock they did 10 to 15 psi and could easily push 20 a little overkill for the 8 without serious mods. You need to realize the bigger the turbo the higher boost levels it can produce but the more lag you get (by no means is a T3 big as far as turbo standards go but as far as 8 turbo's it is). Like others have mentioned the turbo itself is not the big work.
Cheers

Case in point a T3 is a big turbo for an RX8 without major upgrades.
I do realize a rotary responds differently to boost, and by no means am I debating this.
So since you know all these things why didn't you start a more accurate thread to avoid sounding like a complete douche?
Start again by stating what turbo is that, what you want to do with it and what are your fabbing\tuning skills!

Sorry I didn't start this thread (whats this about a douche?), just putting my 2 cents without confusing the guy asking the question Not looking for a pissing match.
