No, not at all. I think it is important to know the oportunities and the limitations, and I know my limitations. I believe that with good traction his car should be in the low's 13.

I just arrive to Puerto Rico from my business trip to Venezuela,

As ROTORPR mention in first gear and full throttle the car can't handle the power
without spinning the tires.........
I'm using Hankook Ventus sport K104 265/30ZR19 tires probably we can use other
tires or size that can help.
ROTORPR drives the car by himself and he also spins the tires..............
Is not a driver issue........

Tomorrow morning I'm going to the USPS to pick up the boost controller
We’re going to install it and make a few dyno runs.............
I would notice in this thread if we see improvements...........

Our current A/F are near 12.1-12.4 (at the max. HP point and when the car is hot)
We tuned manually the emanage to get better results.......
But the job is not finished we like to tune the emanage with the emanage not manually.........

Thank you for your help and comments,

Manuel

Manuel, have you tried those rear wheels on the front? I'm looking at running those exact rear wheels all around in my car. Not into the staggered look. I will be using 255's all around though.
Thanks, and I can't wait to see the dyno results.

The problem is that my wheels are one inch bigger on the rear, my combination is:

Front : 9.5 235/35ZR19
Rear : 10.5 265/30ZR19

Definedly I would change to other tire size when need to change the actual one's

I'm thinking to try some 1/4 times using the stock wheels..........................

Thanks,

Manuel

Holy crap those are huge rims ! I have those same tire sizes but with 8.5" & 9.5" rims. I think your 1/4 mile times will definitely suffer if you go back to 225's. You will not get any kind of traction at all with the turbo setup you have now. I'm was breaking traction all the time with my 225's before I went in in tire size. Even now I can break my back tires loose & I am still about 40 hp down from you.

Manuel

have you looked at the greddy e-manage v2..it was just displayed at the Tokyo auto salon in 2005 9not sure what month)..it's supposed to control ignition timing now. havent' really looked into it though b/c you probable can't buy it yet...but that's one thing to look at....or ou can go microtech, or motec....btu the e-manage v2 shoudl be a lot less than those.:D nice car and i love the numbers you are putting down:D

That's great, I hope you find the traction you are looking for and once you do....ohhh mama!

What I don't understand is that you have 10.5 in the rear yet you STILL have traction problems??? Those are some real FAT tires (Corvette like) so I'm a little confused about your traction problem. Maybe try 18's instead of 19's???

Anyway, it's been fun reading this thead...send more pictures (better yet video). I"m Cuban but my wife is PR so I'll have to tell her about the Trubo 8's in PR, yet another reason to go visit PR...lol

It doesn't matter that he has 10.5", he is still "only" running 265's in the back (I have those on my 9.5" rims). I have about 235 whp on my car right now & I am still breaking those things loose. On a 10.5" rim he can easily put 285's on there & that would help traction quite a bit more.

Yep,

my big problem it's that the actual tires are only 265's....I'm thinking on 275's or 285's............
I have the factory wheels at my garage, I would try them when we install the boost controller on the next week!
Also, my mechanic wants to go to a bigger differential,
But before that we would like to find some more ponies............

Army RX8,

Anything than you can send me about the new emanage it would be help full.............

RX8wanahave,

I can take a video with my camcorder but I really don't know how to convert it on a .wav file
or other type of file that can be viewed by anyone.

Thanks,

Manuel Valentin

You can easily wire it to do so. I have mine set up for ignition control.

As I said, it already does control ignition, you just need to use the apropriate harness and either a diode setup like mine or the ignition adapter that Greddy sells.

Do you even know what you are talking about ? Most RX8 start at around 170-180 whp. He has gotten about a 100 whp gain for about $3000. This is the best bang for the buck product for the RX8 period. It's not like the RX7 that comes twin turbo stock. This is an NA engine. To get +100 whp is a major accomplishment.

Well, I ordered the E Manage software, injector harness, & ignition harness. I'll be playing with this stuff in the next few weeks, and I will let everybody know how it goes.

I am using the regular "blue" E-Manage with the 1.3x/1.13 firmware/software.
You can get all the stuff you need here:
http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/index.html
YOu will need the RPM adapter and you will need to protect the controlled ignition lines with diodes to prevent burning the ignition coils.
