there's an E-clip that holds that hose to the hard pipe of the oil cooler. did they take it out for the turbo install? shouldn't have been necessary. remove the e-clip, and see if you can push the line further in, and then put the clip back on.
or take it back to the shop that did your install, tell them to fix it, and tell them to top off your oil. |

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing your impressions. Im really considering this turbo kit for next year. How much did the shop charge you for the install and how long did they take ??
Good luck fixing the oil leak bro. |

Do you think i would be able to install it myself considering it comes with intructions ?? Ive installed a few bolt ons on my car so im not absolutely clueless mechanically.
Im in the process of reading and researching ALOT about turbos right now. |

it was actually leaking from the other end where the pipe connects to some sort of metal piece. at least thats where it definitely looked like it was coming from. there is nothing else above that where oil could be leaking that i can think of.

Im in the process of reading and researching ALOT about turbos right now. I think you COULD.. But it may prove to be more difficult than you think. My mechanic ran into Many small problems along the way just making it take longer but if you are confident you can do it then I say go for it |

2) don't drive it there, you may lose all oil and not realize and die in the streets. |

The installer may have disconnected other oil lines and not replaced them correctly - the supply and return for the oil coolers, etc.

Funny guy. I guess having your car tuned after only a few months was just unacceptable. Those folks that had to wait for the better part of a year or longer for a date with Kan or someone similar and pay 5 times as much (or just live with a crappy running car for who knows how long) musta been real rubes, right?
Now that the service is nearly instant, I guess the price (practically free) is more palatable? Dude - during the "terrible" times, for every complainer there were as many as one hundred other customers out there that were out-of-their-minds satisfied. Honestly, with the way people are starting to abuse the new system, I think I may go back to the old method. I can deal with 1 out of every 100 customers bitching and moaning. So, in a word, STFU. :buttslay: |
Dude--you can install a fuel pump yourself--its not hard and its an oppotunity to learn some skills?
Like Charles Hill told me years ago, " Dont be scared to work on the car". Pay s to be cautious, but a FP, you can do it. |

So you think they will try to charge me extra because of the turbo kit being in there? I don't know why they are such asses when it comes to that kinda stuff. I'm having the car towed there to be safe.

Hey guys I'm just giving you the heads up on my situation. I got my car back yesterday with esmerils fuel pump installed and the oil leak was fixed. The car was running fine for about 2 hours and then all of the sudden it felt like the car wasn't getting any gas. I was pressing on the gas pedal but the rpm still kept going down until finally it just stalled out and I was unable to start it... Im thinking it may be the fuel pump since that was just installed but any other ideas on what this could be??
|
Ok so today the car is running fine and the issue was not the fuel pump... I have no idea what is going on...
|
Beats me...... tuning issue?

Does anyone know of any really good aftermarket radiators and fan shrouds that I could get to help cool the car? Or anything else I could get to help cooling efficiency?

did they clean the fuel screen that is attached to the fuel pump? if you have a bad base map, contact lucykat, he might have a better base map..because he has the same injectors settings as you do, and the same turbo set up. you might be able to use his base map so you can drive it to the tuner.. steven |

Thanks a lot man. Do you think the bhr radiator is one of the better aftermarket ones available? |
get some of this stuff .................
http://www.heatshieldproducts.com/pr...o-shield/51/21 |
if you have an enviroment in which you see 95+F days a radiator upgrade alone will not do it.
if you have sub 95F days all the time--then it might. BHR radiator is one of the good ones out there. |

/\ it is reasonably flexible stuff so would be easy to shape around the ecu box .

I am going to lay off the boost until I can get my car properly tuned. Are there any good tuning shops around the Pittsburgh area? I have had no luck finding any that's why I ask Chris to help with the tune
I live in Seattle now, but I'm from that area. There is a guy in East Liverpool, Ohio (about an hour away) who rebuilds and tunes rotaries... did my FC (and did a bang-up job). He has a Facebook page (tri-state rotary) |
After the kit was install my car run great but engine light is on .i live in nyc need to inspect my car next week. need help how term light off and pass emission test.low rpm 750 -1000 the car is up and down something turn off .car was tuning by Dave form Speed 1. i will talk to Chris from Esmeril racing to help me.Any opinion are accepted. thank guys

You need a code reader/resetter.
Bit silly to say you got a turbo installed and the light is on, then expect reasonable diagnosis over the 'net..... |
