finally dynoed the car

Well, it all didnt go the way we planned. car had a miss I couldnt figure out on th dyno. It end up being a bad injector due to a conection problem which of course is now fixed. Ended up taking it off the dyno with a half ars tune but still manage 484hp @ 10 pounds of boost at around 6800rpm . Its not the final goal which we wont be achieving with 10 PSI anyways, but if you think about it.. almost 500 wheel HP at so little boost does look pretty good. We will be back on the dyno looking for big numbers soon.

500whp doesn't sound too bad no matter which way you think about it

A better title would be, "Finally, some engine output numbers worthy of this forum area"

even if they are low for that engine at 10psig, but obviously for the reason noted

I'd expect at least another 15% increase, maybe 20% ...

For once I agree with Team. 500 whp at 10 psi is definitely good. Can you post your dyno sheet? What fuel are you running and what size turbo?

congrats Angel, can't wait for additional updates.

Have we had a 500whp car on this forum before?

For a $100.00 I could get a 500WHP dyno for my car tomorrow.

It wasn't the numbers we wanted so I didn't get a sheet, but the dyno is close by and I can always swing by and ask him to look it up. Car still had plenty to go still at 10psi, it was rich as a pig up top but again we desided to take it of the dyno once it started to show signs of a miss. Car is running on E85 and the turbo is a garrett GT47. 88mm

Wish I could be nonchalant about putting down 500 whp

Cool deal, what kind of numbers are you shooting for when you get the misfires sorted out? GT47 is a BIG turbo. What kind of power band are you expecting?

E85 is amazing. I freaking love the stuff.

well. I do drive the car at 18-20 psi pretty much all the time on a street tune. But since we took it to the dyno I decided to do it right and start from the bottom. Thank God we noticed the miss. But all I can tell you is if at 10psi it has 500hp, just do the math.. Let me tell you, at 18psi its a totally different animal..

^^^ IIRC you live in Puerto Rico right? Or used to and now you live in Florida? If I'm ever in the area you're gonna have to give me a ride in this beast...

I know everyone likes big numbers but I'm just curious why the GT47 20b choice? For the dyno numbers? Drag racing? Or what? It would be fairly useless on the street. At 600-700 rwhp, your already spinning the tires on the highway. At 800-900, your just spinning them more?

I pretty much don't bother boosting my GTX4202R 20b on the street anymore. Spinning tires just isn't fun to me... It's pretty much become a track (circuit) car now where I can put my 335 Hoosier slicks on. And even then, is still spinning tires in in 2nd gear...
