Can understand Pettit not wanting to touch it without a base map as I don't think the AP is their normal tuning software .

Yea, they have another tuning software. You will be money and time ahead if you can get a few friends together to get MM out to Florida. He does wonders in person.

I can vouch for MM doing a great job tuning.

I've been to two rotary shops in FL for work on my car, including tuning, and neither of them held a candle to the job MM did. In fact, MM's work is the only work that had positive lasting results.

They use the EFI stuff which is a flash-tuning system as well, so the "base map" would be, essentially, the same.

as for the tuning, MM how much do you want to charge? and do you need a shop with a dyno or is anywhere fine?
If you want to be the person that coordinates the event, send me an e-mail at jeff @ mazdamaniac.com (ditch the spaces) and I'll send you the pricing guideline so you know what you are up against.
You will need to secure the local shop where the tuning takes place.
You can talk with Nemesis8, Highway8, Jedi or any of the other Dyno Day coordinators to get a sense of how to organize the event.

Probably apprehensive.
Unfortunately, the stories of blown-up customer cars from other tuning sources are starting to trickle in these days (in some cases, years after the event). I would imagine that it would be a deterrent to getting into the game so late.

He did talk to me, but said he would not be able to coordinate the event.
