It looks awesome and it's "supposed" to perform so as well. That's the word on the street anyway. It's hard to tell because people hype up the install but then you hear, "It should make more power with a better tune" and so on so who knows. Just sayin'

I have Esmeril kit along with Esmeril Apex Seals on my car for about 9000 miles now. The kit quality is very good. You get Tial BOV and Wastegate. The turbo which has no brand name has been making consistent boost for all those 9000 miles and has no problem so far. Now you can get precision turbo on this kit if you ask for one. The key to any turbo set up is tuning. I have Chris fine tuned my car several times already in order to get it to run optimally. The engine management is microtech and that is the only down side if you don't know how to make minor adjustment by yourself. I have a handheld controller that use to program the microtech but still learning how to use it. So far I am satisfy with the kit. I have made several long road trip with it and it has been very reliable. I actually get better gas mileage now compare to when the car was stock. Car is a blast to drive and you can now passing someone without having to drop a gear at highway speed. You can find out a lot of info on my set up if you do search using my forum name. Good luck.

Thanks for that Lucky^

All Esmeril kits now include a Precision Turbo. There is a sale going on right now that will be over after August 15th.

Best regards,

Chris

I only know of a few people in the area that have a ESMERIL KIT. From what I've been told and seen, this is probably one of the best kits out for the RX-8. Just need a good tuner.....

On that note, we now have our own Plug and Play Microtech and our base map is much improved.

^When you say plug and play, does that mean it is tuned similar to the AP, or will it be recommended to have it tuned by a tuner?

It just means that it plugs into the stock plugs between the OEM ECU and the OEM harness. We do include a basemap that is much improved and will allow you to drive the car as soon as you finish the install. However, there is no way to have a map that captures every possible ambient temperature, humidity and altitude any particular setup could encounter since every place is different and therefore, some fine tuning is still required to get the maximum out of each setup.

Best regards,

Chris
