emu not communicating
Connect one of the analog outputs of the LC-1 to one of the analog inputs of the E-01.
Then, you need to setup the output using Innovate's software and setup the input channel to expect (and translate) that signal into something you understand.

okay, so now ive got the E01 set up to control boost, w/out the emu, and the car wont idle. ??? im lost. it had a hard time idleing before the e01, but now it just sputters a second or two and dies... Ive been dropping alot of money into this car, and so far it hasnt fixed anything... WTF?

Dropping money into the car does nothing.

I'm sorry to be so crass, but threads like this only go to prove that most people should not be doing this kind of work to their own car.
Hell, I know a dozen "professionals" that can't figure this stuff out.
i dont have a choice i have to do the work myself, none of the shops in my area know anything about the rx8 except the dealership. I understand alot about the set-up, its just that everything ive tried has failed. the reason i think its the e01 is cause w/out it, there was alot more vaccum pressure, now the e01 is holding it at -1.0 or near it. and now it's not idleing. 1+1=2 right
OKay, went out after work today and started it. It idled better than i have heard it idle for a long time. drove it around the block a few times, and it idled great, no dieing at stoplights as long as i didnt start just rolling too soon ( i have this problem with pushing the clutch and letting my already gained speed carry me to the light then stop.) as long as i carried speed and left it in first till just before i stopped, it idled... about an hour later or so, it wont idle again... heat? i dunno, it ran great till it got hot...
thinking about trying the idle adj. map. i think it's idleing too low, while i was in iraq, the guy that had the car said one of the cel's was because it was idleing too low... could someone help me out with an idle adj. setting
You might need to recirculate your BOV. I think the Greddy stuff still uses a MAF sensor. If you are stalling when you de-clutch comming to a stop your ecu is reading WAY too rich rightr after the BOV opens and causes the motor to stumble or stall. If you BOV has a leak or is set too soft you can have a rough idle as well.
I had the exact same problem on my previous Evo8 until I recirculated the BOV back into the intake. I am not a big fan of the SSQV...Good luck

You can try the engine "anti-stall" feature, but it is tricky since the MAF is so sensitive.

However, there are quite a few Chinese counterfeit versions on the market, so you have to be careful where you buy it from.
Nothing from TurboXS, Apexi, GReddy or Tial beats the SSQBOV.
hey sorry my questions seem stupid. im not very familiar with this particular setup. everyone has to start somewhere right? I learn more and more about this car and setup daily. At least i come out and ask the questions rather than just trying to blow my engine... if you dont know, how do you learn?
