oh nice. where'd you mount that?

olddragger 07-30-2012 09:18 AM

behind the front bumper support--its tight but it does fit--then just ever so slightly angle it backwards.
It has a built in bung for a temperature sensor at the bottom--which is nice to have. Also cut the top half off the front bumper support--it is internally separated by a solid sheet of metal, for more airflow across the top of the cooler and that support acts like a large heatsink:)

dondo 07-31-2012 11:36 PM

ok i'll have a look tomorrow. thanks!

heres a little better pic of the way its mounted and what the front support looks like after cutting--since that picture i have extended the cut all the way across. My secondary radiator is mounted on the front side of the same beam--its a 21X7 cooler. So it is not very tall.
I now have my intake outside the engine bay too. Cutting that support bar gave me much more room so I could use a regular AEM filter.

dondo 08-01-2012 11:18 AM

pics of it cut all the way across?

olddragger 08-01-2012 11:32 AM

dondo 08-01-2012 11:45 AM

BHR's mid pipe in action

With the mid pipe flange bolts broken, it resulted in a nice fire show.

dondo 08-07-2012 12:01 PM

haha those vids are sweet man.

Phil's 8 08-07-2012 12:05 PM

Mike, is that yours with the broken pipe?

dondo 08-07-2012 12:17 PM

Yeah, it's not broken really. I had a stock catback and it didn't flow enough so the hardware popped so it could breathe better.

olddragger 08-07-2012 07:53 PM

dyno with straight pipe?
in that one pic it looks like the ssv hose in pinched off?
Fast work man--have fun:)

dondo 08-07-2012 10:24 PM

^ true it does..

I'll look tomorrow. I also have a new bypass to try as well as gauges to install so we can find the leaking boost again...

dondo 08-10-2012 11:29 AM

catback is ordered
oil leak in relo kit is fixed
GOODbox gauges are installed

Turbosmart bypass to blowoff valve is up next. The inlet/outlet diameters are different that the one I was running so I am making some silicon reducers today to mate with the 1" in/out on the blower kit. I have some proper ones ordered for arrival next week.

FazdaRX_8 08-12-2012 01:02 AM

Super

olddragger 08-12-2012 09:39 AM
