Does anybody know if the HKS SSQV is adjustable and how to do it??

Does anybody know if the HKS SSQV is adjustable and how to do it??

Any input is welcomed. thanks

I think there are springs that you can use to change the blow off pressure

there is a 10 mm screw on the back side to adjust the harshness/softness. you can also change out the purple fin for a different pitch. you cannot change the springs

The old version has an adjustment screw so you can adjust the spring tension.The newer unit does not.I am ssuming he has the newer unit which means it is non adjustable.You can take it apart and try to use different spriings but you might do more harm then good.If boost forces the valve open prematurely then you will lose power! If you cant hear the valve it is probably not connected to a good vacuum source or maybe your not making enough boost.

i see a re-circ kit on it..but why is ther ethat one tube fastened on to the left side onf the pic? sorry i'm a bov noob..not sure what it is doing i thought they just vented to atmosphere..or back into the intake...or is that where it's going ( i hough tthe lill' line in the bottom right went to teh intake)?

It was going to the intake. I disconnected it as i like the sound better. Now i have it venting to atmosphere...

You do have the adjustment screw on the back.You can loosen or tighten that screw to adjust your blow-off valve appropriately.
