Calling All Turbos!!! Need Help!!!!

I have a greddy kit and since this morning, the turbo has been sounding like a supercharger, it has that whine to it.

I had a buddy of mine take a look at it and we both came to the conclusion that the turbo isn't getting enough oil and the sound is the bearings complaining about it.

All of the lines look intact, im not losing boost and there are no other problems, but my buddy made the observation that the oil return line may not be draining the oil properly back into the oil pan, as it sits pretty much horizontally.

Is there any info you guys would have for me at all before i start tearing my car apart?

Thanks everyone.

can you make an audio clip of it?

the greddy upgraded oil pan is a really good buy - something like $280, and the oil drains much better with it.

Your two theories are inconsistent. If the oil isn't draining properly, then there would be an over-abundance of oil in the turbo, not too little. But, for the record, it drains just fine if you have it setup like every other GReddy turbo does. Also for the record, there are two advantages of the GReddy oil pan - but better drainage isn't one of them. It has more capacity and oil changes are a little cleaner since you retain the plug.
