BDC has a video of a half bridge renni idling off the stock ecu without any tuning. I don't know how a full bridge would fair? At least a piggy back I'm sure.

It'll run... but not well. I don't recommend it. you'll be running REALLY lean.

And yea, an AP is more than enough to tune it. Why would you need an expensive tuning solution when $500~$600 will get you a plug and play unit with a tune (Access Port). It's just the best solution for the 8 unless you're doing an engine swap.

BTW,
Didn't get a divorce... lol

No offensive but there is truly only one person who can say if the AP will work. Also I wouldn't say running it like that is wise just mentioned it because its a hell of a lot easier to tune it if it idles. As for the hell it gave reddozen, when you venture into uncharted areas you have to expect some issues. Props to him for trying! If the car feels and drives like he wants then he got out of it what he wanted at least for now.

The extra power that can be had N/A is one idea. The better is what can be squeezed out of this FI!

Reddozen was the first Renesis BP I ever did. He was the live car guinea pig if I recall correctly. I think the AP worked for him from what I understand!

AP tunes air and fuel. So as long as the engine is still a Renesis with the factory ECU, the AP can tune it.

If the intake is not some botched pvc pipework then the AP will work, no matter what kind of ports you have.

Who has tuned a full Bridge Renny? How could anyone say you can do it without actually have done it? I know Kane did a half Bridge but not a full. I'd like to actually have proof of the tune not just bla bla bla it can. I know first hand what a pain it is to tune this motor when the Rx7 guys are like yea I can do it. As for Mr. Meyer I'm sure its a stand alone race ECU.

There is more than enough resolution in the stock ECU to run a bridgeported engine.....hell there is almost enough room in the stock calibration for it to run correctly .................+/- 25% is quite a big difference

So yes...the AP will work fine

the only blah-blah-blah is your own, you clearly are the one lacking the knowledge and insight here

your RX7 guy comment alone says it all

Ok then again who here has tuned a full bridge Renny tune? Mark???????? Do you know what to encounter? Difficulties???? Who is so confident in the abilities both AP and themselves? I'll put up the motor and you can put up the tune (under my watchful eye)? I might have might have more first hand knowledge than you think.

You could understand why the AP will work in a bridgy just by studying what the stock pcm does and how the AP can modify it.
Heck, you could run a bridgeport off of a carburettor.

You're not doing a very good job demonstrating it. The "watchful eye" comment gave me a good chuckle though.

You really don't understand how the AP works do you.... If you did, you wouldn't be making these wild claims or prompting these silly questions.

If MM can tune a 350+HP turbo / supercharger setup with an AP, why would a bridge be any different?

Lets take it a step back...
What is a "Bridge Port"? Simple answer, a hole in the block to let more air in. That's it... More air requires more fuel, and the AP can adjust the fuel tables in the factory ECU. It can also adjust the scaling of the MAF to modify the perceived air flow through the motor.

porting work = more air
FI = more air

Both work, so please stop the silly questioning and learn what the AP is and how it works. You're over complicating things.

They're from pro engine builders, don't seem too keen to let many details out, might have a dyno graph soon to share though.
