what is the size on the new turbine wheel? the GT35r has always been restrictive on the turbine side. The wheels dimensions are just small in comparison to say a s300x

hey mate, the turbine is still the same size, but we have had the trailing edge of the exducer curved to allow around 17% more flow. The problem with going a larger real wheel is the weight, the 35 bearing pack is only tiny if you go a larger or heaver turbine wheel the bearing will fail. This has been proven by garrett as they went to a larger bearing pack for the gtw and the t04z and those turbine wheels are only mm's larger. A larger heavy wheel will just not last!! These wheels have a smaller center hub by 5 mm, that is where we get the extra flow from and the fact that we have dropped a blade as well. The stage 1 wheel was 56% lighter than the factory wheel and this one is 62%. Thanks for the message mate

Hybrid Greddy Boosted
Ask them about reliability of the 9 blade turbine wheels - have they had more failures than standard wheels? I was looking at a new 9 blade turbine wheel for the Greddy/Mitsu when I rebuilt it last year. Performance looked awesome, but longevity not so much - there were reports of the Mitsu ones blowing apart as they didn't have enough material at the centre of the wheel.
