Boost Controller+Gauge

excuse my ignorance but will this be the right setup?

No

The w/g should get it's signal off the turbos compressor outlet.

The boost controller can be plumbed into the UIM

i think you have to find out if you have internal or external wastegate, and it depends on the boost controller solenoid....

The wastegate should still never read off the manifold.
