BNR Turbo rebuild (pics)
Just wanted to post a teaser pic of sorts, havent really seen or heard much on this board about the BNR Turbo rebuild. Anyways i sent my Greddy in and was super impressed with the product that was sent back to me. I literally could not believe how fast the turnaround time was on this (considering that im overseas), and the quality of the unit i got back- night & day difference. Bryan at BNR customer service was top notch, fast responding to emails.
So... the last piece of the puzzle ! Time for the install.
Water Cooled core ftw !
The install vehicle.

Didnt seem so common after reading countless topics. I was actually hesitant to send it in because of the lack of feedback on the BNR rebuild. But i may have missed it trying to sift through the usual RX8club arguments & bickering that usually goes with posts about something new. But im glad i went for it.
FI is all very new to me so I'm taking it slow and steady. I have a bunch of turbo Honda guys around me to help with the project. I bought a used kit from another member here back in December and I wanted to get the turbo rebuilt just to be safe, and hopefully use this turbo to spool to the magical 300rwhp mark.

Awesome. So this wasn't just a rebuild but an upgrade (water cooled CHRA and different wastegate actuator), so what size wheel did you get? I should have went with the BNR upgrade as well, I would have been finished a lot sooner and avoided a lot of problems.
The way they did the coolant lines is interesting with the banjo fittings. I have never seen a BNR like that. Just make sure you use high temp silicone heater hose if you can, I found a good vendor on Ebay but you can get it elsewhere, they use them on big rigs. Replacing those lines with the turbo installed is a bit so get hoses that last.
