Im not using any ems yet. The car is still N/A.

For an update. Gauge wireing is done Lotek pod is installed. It looks like everything is a go for the install on friday.

On a funny note mazda called me and after 4 weeks has a replacement center speaker for my car. Funny they call me 1 day after I get the gauge pod installed. They wolnt let me install the part myself either.

End Of Day 1:

Well kinda got a late start after the welder was busy and took a while to get the oil return bung and the widband bung welded. We didnt get started till late.

Got the old oil pan off and cleaned up. Removed the cat and got down to the fuel rails. Tomorrow I start with soldering the new clips. It looks like they are a solenoid and wiring order doesnt matter. Is this correct?

Hope to get the install finished by tomorrow night but i have a horrible feeling it will be sunday.

Day 2 Update:

Got the Fuel Injectors in. We realized after we had solderd the new ones in that we were susposed to replace the primary-2's and secondary injectors. So that ate up a ton of time. We have the new oil pan on and Got started taking the exhaust mani off. I know we need to take the motor mounts off but does anyone have any good instructions on just how to do this?

Day 3: update.

All the exhaust Tubeing is done. Turbo is mounted. Intercooler has been mounted. I could just be exhausted but I think everything is done save the Oil lines and intake/intercooler pipeing. Spent a little time trying to figure out how to get the Oil pressure sensor off. That will be the first task to tackle on thursday.

Missing Part Woes.

So after this weekends fun I have noticed I am missing a few parts. The questions are 1. is the threading on the Oil pressure sensor 1/8 npt or 1/8 BSP.
2. The stock coolant line runs very close to the downpipe. If I heatwrap this would I be able to move the car without it failing? I orderd the steel pipe from SFR but it wolnt be here for a week and my car is in a shop garage.

1. 1/8 NPT is the norm on auto
2. Heatshielding the lines and exhaust wrap on the piping should be more then sufficient...

And lastly, I feel your agony....

Horrible location, the readings will not be good. I used to have my boost controller hooked up on that too. UIM is the best spot.

haha, thats funny because it was your post that I used to hook mine up where it is. I guess I will have to move it, I want to replace the pipeing anyway. The crap that came with the gauge sucks.

Day 4 :

Well I really thought we would have the car running today but we were foiled again. We tried a 1/8" NPT for the T on the oil pressure sensor but we could not get that to thread. Other then that I believe the car is about done.

Midpipe went on today along with the charge pipeing and the intake. We started on the Int-X install but we ran out of time before we could finish that. I didnt take pic's as we were working but I did after I had to wheel it out of the shop. So for your viewing pleasure.

Ohh, the install wolnt finish till sunday as im in school tomorrow and saturday. I had tim at SFR overnight the correct part so I should have it in time for sunday *Crossed Fingers*

getting close - good luck with the fire up .

I think the thread problem is that you need to use 1/8 bspt (tapered) not bspp (parallel) - I had the same issue

I think im going to try to get there in the morning. Leave more time for unexpected issues. It really depends if the T comes in the mail today. If I dont get the part then there is no point going on sunday
