So I guess you dont care to tell what adjustments you made?
I would aggree with you that once you go FI there really isnt a need to shift and jam the throttle open as fast as possible, even when watching in car race footage there is rarely ever a shift that is rushed forcefully, just smooth relaxed and controled shifts...

no I dont tune myself and I wouldnt ask anyone to give away thier bussiness' property or trade secrets, but in a general sense back to the original question, snappier or more gradual?
"Massaged" would probably be the appropriate term.
The mid throttle is a bit delayed in 2nd and 3rd to lower the onset of boost (to prevent throttle snap-oversteer), but the initial tip-in of first is a bit quicker.
I do some stuff to 4th and 5th as well.

nice,,,
and does this affect your boost in terms or how it comes(how gradually it reaches full boost) or where it comes(further into the curve)? if this is starting to reveal anything you dont want to get into thats fine...
Maybe we're getting off subject to much, just curious and always trying to learn,,, end threadjack....

I just change where full boost comes on in the pedal travel.
Its not "later", just less surprising.
The last thing I need is all of my power all at once as I shift gears going into the NASCAR oval at PIR at 90 MPH.

helmholtz tuning actually can create small amounts of boost. Slightly pressureized air is still compressible and therefore still is capable of having pressure waves and still resonates like ambient pressure air.

I have done a little experimenting and from what I've seen so far - vdi closed gives a better result
Its all the way open.
Just because the number is the 82% maximum doesn't mean its WO.
But, in this case, it does not.
Sorry.

The test below was done in an effort to tune the power band while keeping turbo as close as possible within its efficiency map
aux port opening at 6800
aux port blocked but small hole drilled in blocking plate
pressure at turbo 10 psi rising to 12psi from 7000 onwards
pressure at UIM 9.5 to 7000 then back to about 8 from there on
The pink line is with the port completely blocked
seems to have worked
the dip n the blue line at 6200 is possibly my wastegate opening slightly . Have noticed this does not happen on every run
