adding rotors?

Hey guys, was talking to my buddy the other day and he mentioned combining two 13b's to make a 4 rotor engine. Obviously i don't think its that simple but now im curious how it would work? i know some guys have 4 rotor engines like madmike the drifter, does anyone know how it would go down?

It is a dumb question, because if you had even a very basic understanding of mechanics you would know it was not possible.

Mechanically yes, you can human-centipede two engines together. It's just not feasible because of tuning and how long the thing would end up being.

It wouldn't be one engine though, it would be two inline engines.

Give the guy a break and just say , your question belongs in the " Dumb Question " forum and not here. His post count is 26 and yours is 32,057 so i imagine you had some dumb questions in your time. The point is as time goes by you hopefully learn things here about your 8. It's a question in the wrong forum that's it.

Face it 9k, as the rx8 gets older and cheaper, it's going to be in the price range of more and more people who would ask these questions...

Ever tried to put 2 Piston engines together to make one engine? It's basically the same thing

Not going to happen....

You can buy a rotor shaft in New Zealand for a 4 rotor...and then do all the machining and fabricating to make an engine that runs....but they are notoriously short lived and very expensive.
