My last setup my car makes 657 RWHP now with this mods the car feel like 50 % more HP the tire spining at 6th gear. this is a 3 Rotor engine

SPINNING TIRES IN 6TH GEAR?!? Did I ever mention how jealous I am?

 

Yes, I know it's a 3-rotor (thread title?). And I don't believe they've said 800+ as a fact, only on 'feel'. My question was what do they expect to be the life expectancy of their engine, which hasn't been answered. Any engine is fine when it's working in its present state.

 

Ok the engine was internals modified , extra dowel pin was added to avoid engine twisting(That's cause side housing breakage ), porting works intake and exhaust, strong apex seal kirbee max , racing bearing. with all this mods i spec it last like the stock one with the apropiate maintenace and with a good Ecu maps , oil changes ect. this engine with this mods is not dynoed yet. as soon we get it to the dyno we post the results.

Maybe my next project is to switch from my chevy truck the DURAMAX diesel engine (that's is fast too). to swap it on my next RX8 Project we call it RX8durarixer. so keep it MAZDA

 

yo rgonza, can u take a close-up photo of that warning sticker in your engine bay? the one in front of the intake. I'm just curious keep up the great work guys! u make me wanna come over there to live forever!

 

Hello, RotorManiac the sticker is only one that's come with K&N Intake kit.

Now i did boosted the car up to 12 psi of boost and 9600 Rpm the car runs great with more usable RPM power band thats means contant G's all the way to 10,000 RPM. Today i was in the streets testing the car, in a crossing light a guy in a Suzuki motorcycle invite me to race from one light to the next one as soon the light change to green i leave the guy about two cars lenght behind me up to the next light, the motorcycle guy say to me what hell you got there man!! this **** is very fast. i was enjoy to see his face expression a lot!!

Yesterday, I took a ride on Manuel's car and the power is amazing. The car has so much power that even in second gear the car moves slightly from side to side. The installation is a piece of art, the 20B fits perfect, congratulations to RGonza and Manuel for this project. First sorry if i am asking something that already have been answered here but i need a good answer from you guys who know about this in first hand...

By insterting a wankel engine from rx7 in an rx8 how can you manage to have all the safety systems of the rx8??I mean abs tcs esp etc how did you manage tohave them in the rx8 with a motor from an rx7???

 

The motor is not from an RX-7 it is from a Cosmo. No production run of RX-7s ever had a 3 rotor.
