This question has been asked hundreds of time man. You won't be able to get noticable torque gains unless you spend thousands on a turbo/supercharger.

The search button is your friend...

What's up, guys! I'm back for a bit...trolling around, visiting from my350z.com. Man, I've missed this site. The options, etc. on here are much friendlier than where I've been spending my time lately....

Good to see the "torque issue" is still going. I've posted this on here before and wasn't given much attention. However, I'll post it again since now I've much more experience in the matter.

FINAL DRIVE GEARS! The single best MOD for acceleration/torque sans F/I. Trust me guys! My Z comes with a 3.5(something) FD and a lot of people are buying Nissan Frontier 4.89 gears (and Central20 of Japan makes 3.9). Sure you lose about 2MPG but the acceleration is crazy in EVERY GEAR. Another "down side" is that each gear gets shorter. But with the 9k redline on an 8...that's not an issue! I'm looking to add some more teeth to my wife's 8s FD. For around $500 for a ring/pinion set and maybe $250 for professional installaiton...it's definitely the best bang/buck mod if one is not going F/I.

I'll peek back in now and then... :D

rx8 soccer man.. the only way to get some more torque is FI.. but if you dont want to spend some big money.. go with the Nitrous.. talk to BHR, i think his kit sells for about $700 or $800.. that is the best way to go.. i will be buying it also if i decide to keep my RX8
