yeah, i remember you talking about learning to drive around a little hiccup or something, but anyway, the new program definitely softens this "transition" but it is still there sometimes, most noticeable under full throttle. Part throttle is smooth as a baby's butt.

I'll let you know if they change anything else.

The other file they sent you is not of any use because it is corrupt or incorrect.

I called them and spoke to Kenji (R&D Manage in California). He assured me that the map is correct and you need the support tool 1.4 or higher to load it to the emanage. That's the same file I linked in a previous post that's on my website.

The file they send you is from firmware version 1.4, need software version 1.20 to load correctly. You probably have to enter those value manually if you want to use that map, as the software version 1.1 would not load correctly into your Blue eManage with firmware version 1.39 (if that what you have). Btw, if you have a chance to talk to the guy again, can you ask him about the 4.0 value in cell at 25kP at 9000rpm on the additional injection map, if it's suppose to be 44.0 not 4.0. As well as the value of 20% in AVV setting at 3000, if that is suppose to be there. If everything is confirmed, I think I would probably test out that map and convert to my own use as base line tunning Maybe you can convince them to send you a software to update your eManage firmware to the latest all might version 1.40! :D

legally they have too, a turbo has nothing to do with flooding the motor (although its technically user error, but Mazda has agreed to provide one free flood fix per car).

i'd stick with that dealer since they didnt give you any problems...but you can believe they entered a note on your service record

Your only hope would have been to know the whole service department really well.

speeking of flooding.. My wife flooded my car once, and I got it cranked again using the procedure in the manual. Is there something else I should do / check after the car has been flooded?

Nah, just take it out for a hard drive and get the rev's up a couple of times. That will help clean off the plugs in case they were partially fouled when you flooded it.
