xcarlink bluetooth

Hey guys I've finally bought and installed the xcarlink audio adapter with bluetooth. The main reason I got this was for the A2DP audio and, well, it doesn't work.

The first time I connect my phone to the xcarlink via bluetooth it works perfectly as advertised. However, when i turn car off and turn it back on there is static in the bluetooth audio and the volume is extremely low. The only way to fix this is to disconnect the battery. So i'm thinking the xcarlink needs to be 'cleared' every time to remove the static.

Has anyone experienced similar issues with the bluetooth? anyone know of a viable solution?

/edit
nvm i probably should've tried starting the engine. Starting the engine fixed the static issue and now works awesome!!!!!

iPhone + Xcar Link + Bluetooth Module + Motorola t305 install help?

Before I begin, YES I have searched the forums. I see a lot of information but have not been able to find this exact question/answer.

When I ordered the Xcarlink I was not aware that it came with a microphone. So I ordered a t305, as well. Is there a way to disable the microphone so I can use the t305? If I use the t305 will they conflict? How does the microphone sound?

Can I pair both the iPhone and t305 at the same time? Would it be better to connect the iPhone to the cable and then pair it to the t305? If this is the case, the bluetooth kit seems pretty useless.

My ideal solution is to pair both the phone and the t305 to the bluetooth and not worry about microphones or cords at all.

How should I do this install? It seems that running the the wire under the cupholders and into the middle storage is the way to go for the iphone plug. What about the bluetooth? I thought I saw a post where someone put it under and behind the gear shift but now I can not find that thread.

That post was the main reason I chose the option that I did, too. No idea why I can't find it now.

Edit: In the big thread there is a post at the end that may be the one I was reading. That guy doesn't have a t305, though. It is possible that I got two threads mixed up.

Update. I installed the adapter and the iphone charger thingy. Left out the bluetooth unit for now. Should be easy to install it, anyway. I will probably run the iphone charging cord under the cupholders and into the storage compartment.

I am guessing I could just pair the t305 with the iPhone and leave the iPhone plugged in. This seems like it would work pretty well. Alternately, I sell the t305 and use the bluetooth unit. This seems messier and I think the audio wouldn't be as good on phone calls.

Any words?

Well I've recently got the xcarlink with bluetooth. All i'm using is the bluetooth. I made a call from my car to my friend and he said he could hear me just fine.

I placed the mic just under and to the left of the steering wheel (I have Australian RX-8 (right hand drive)). If you have a look just under the steering wheel and to the left (in my case) you'll see a small grille. I just threaded the mic from the glovebox behind the cigarette lighter to the steering wheel side and pushed the ridged part of the mic into one of the grille openings. In fact, I've attached a picture of its location for you.
