How do you wire the climate controls in without the kit from metra? i have the stock head unit to work with. i've heard you have to cut wires but please help!

 

I've personally never heard of many people below the professional audio shop level guys that can do it. basically you have to take apart your stock HU - take out all the stuff that isn't the AC controls, put all the rest somewhere else in your car (like behind your glove box) and extend the wires to it that used to go to the AC controls... basically, don't bother.. it's not worth your time. spend the money, do it right.
