Will AudioPilot work with sub?

I'm happy enough with the BOSE system where I just want to add a sub for a bit more bottom end.

Question is, will added sound from a subwoofer cause the AudioPilot to compensate for what it thinks is outside noise? Has anyone tested this with their added subs?

The Audiopilot uses a microphone doesn't it!?!

Anyway - I just turn if off. The buttons on the steering wheel are like second nature to me after only a couple of weeks, to the point that I only use the acc pedal if I'm changing gear. I change volume because of a particular song - if I open the windows, I turn it Uu!!!

If the car was auto and there was a brake button on the steering I could sit with my legs crossed :D

Pretend there's no Audio Pilot, leave it switched off, and add all of the speakers and amps that make you happy ... life's too short.

I had them on my BMW 328i, but I never used them very much -- I use them ALL THE TIME on my 8 though! So much that when I drive my pickup truck, I keep trying to adjust the radio volume using the (nonexistent) steering wheel buttons :p

Your subs will affect the audiopilot, and since the source of the music comes from the head unit, the audiopilot affects your subs. It's still in the loop.

That's what I'm thinking from reading the blurb below on the AudioPilot.

I was wondering if anyone had installed subs with the AudioPilot and their experience with having it on.
