WHATS THE little black square on the nav screen and cover in the lights


whats the little square on the frame of the screen..... i always wanted to know it looked like a IR receiver or maybe for dimming but i never seen a difference day or night dimming



whats that little tab in front of the projector....
just curiosity really but curiosity did kill the cat and i want to know what these things aaaaarrrrreeeee

Laser/IR receiver to communicate with your controls on the center console. It's the reason why the Escort radars get the "laser" alerts when it's mounted on the rear view mirror.


Dunno what the little tab is in front of the projector.

what??? still not sure how it comunicates with center but confirms my thought of IR receiver though

It connects to the flux capacitor, don't mess with it.

it's an IR receiver.. completely inoperable on the USDM RX8's.

used in Japan though.
