Voodoo **** pictures
I remembered seeing a picture posted here of someone's engraved voodoo **** with a rotor symbol, kind of like polak's rotor graphic. I searched through tons of posts but could never find the post. Does anybody here have a similar engraved **** or have a link to the original post?

Ok, I finally found it, lurking in one of the those 30+ page threads for the rp shifter:

Does he still make those?

you can buy an engraved shift **** from www.knobmeister.com I have the pearl finish and it matches the interior but is lighter than the stock one. I called the and talked to the owner of knobmeister the titanium one is suppose to be heavy, but the engraving doesnt show as wel in his opinion and he questioned if it was worth spending more. So I went with the pearl finish.

Anyways, I sent KnobMeister some photochopped pics of what I wanted engraved on the voodoo **** I'll buy from him, which is the exact same rotor symbol but with the stock shift pattern in the middle circle. Soon I should be getting some picture of what it should look like.
Oh, I just installed the rp shifter too, and the stock **** is pretty heavy. Also, my shift boot got ripped somehow, so I also ordered a shift boot from polak. I'm pretty much getting nearly every shifter mod available now.

thats very cool. Yeah i just gave a hacked up photoshop image and he was able to engrave it for me. Very good job. That picture was given to me before i recieved the **** and i was worried that the rotors might look to big, but it turned out very good and was not as big as expected in the car.
The unfortunate thing is that the **** use to sit straight on the shifter, but over time it kept on rotating and is now 90 degrees over rotated. This was not a problem when i first recieved the ****, where it was firmly placed. But either case i heard of some people using the teflon tape for the axial shifter and plan to use that and try to get it straight again.

no actually the tape was used for some vibration issues or some sort of gear whine that was coming from the shifter itself and vibrating against the ****. The tape was used to dampen the noise.
The only reason I will try to use the tape is just to make the threading at the bottom slightly larger so it will not over rotate. Hopefully i can get the right amount.
Also since people have use this tape with success on other shifters and *****, why change the recipe.
Unless some one else out there has any other suggestions? If not does any one know the exact name of this teflon tape?

your just using the teflon tape for plumbing purposes right? It can be bought at any hardware store in the plumbing dept.
I used a thread lock to keep mine lined up properly and not have the **** turn. I have also heard you can use the eraser off of a pencil to hold the **** in place. Put the eraser inside the **** and then tighten.

Just got the shift **** a few days ago, and it looks and feels awesome. I couldn't find the right loctite anywhere (supposed to be #212, the weakest one), so I tried the eraser trick. It took a few tries, but keep adding eraser bits and it'll work eventually.

Thanks Tigster!!
Thanks Tigster!!
I found the locktite at the auto parts store. I went to discount auto parts any they had it. I bought the blue tube, it is a temporary locktite.
The red tube is a permanent lock tite and I DO NOT recommend this tube.
