What to do with an extra Playstaion...
I had a extra playstation in a spare room and had dream last night that I installed it in my 8. when I woke up I grabbed it and went to town! I am about half way there. the playstation is mounted and all the wires are run. I bought a couple of visor monitors but they ended up not fitting like I wanted them to. I sent my factory ones to a place where they are going to wrap them and mount the 6.5" displays. they had a very similar material to the headliner and will be back to me tues. or wed. i still eed to mount the screens and trim the rough edges of the playstation. all in all I started with an idea @7am and this is how far I got... let me know what you guys think. -Chris

wellll.. just my .02 .... Could be alittle cleaner... you never have to show the whole PS2 front .. just a thought.. maybe alittle cleaner install.. Do some fiberglass .. kinda "mold" it in ...
great spot for it ... like to see the monitors mounted

if you can get a new pass through panel do what others have done and mount it horizontally BEHIND the pass through panel in the trunk...that way to access the disk you just pull down the pass through...besides having a PS2 mounted inside your car says "break in and steal me"...also if you want to upgrade to PS3 in the next year or so when it comes out I doubt it will be the same dimensions as the PS2 and so the cutout in the passthrough will not suffice
also if you do this then you run the cables under the center console and into the 'hidden' slideback and turn up compartment where the 12v is...then you keep the controllers there...someone actually relocated the ports for the ps2 in there and so the cables run out the side...
or use wireless mini controllers (not infrared) and have them sit in the center console
OR and search for pics on this...mount the PS2 in the glove box...it fits great and easy access plus it locks up
personally I'm going for the X-BOX solution...the reason? I'm getting hacked one where I can store hundreds of movies and games and never have to access the disk drive

And by Disk Drive, I assume you mean OPTICAL disk drive, as a hard drive is technically a disk drive.

thanks for helping my post roberdot...a little clarification I forgot...yes never access the DVD-rom drive instead only use the Hard drive...I'm deciding between 160gb all theway up to 300gb
and yes...linux is already on the list...wonder if I could hookup Overload's custom Aux in controller to the xbox with some modifications
