You will get many different answers to that question.....

Heres my tweeter. Infinity Kappa. Very bright sound, and it has an "eyeball" socket flush mounting hardware.

AVI uses silk rather than titanium... my preference since i dont like the metall 'ting' sound.. the sil gives a more 'tsss' 'tsss' sound...

if you like the ting.. then go for MB.Quartz..

Can you just replace the Bose tweeter as opposed to adding another tweeter? I have read about impedance issues with the Bose system and have have seen posts with it done both ways and I prefer the look of the single tweeter.

The Bose tweeters are 4 ohms, so you should have not problem swapping those out. I'm going to try it soon. (someone might want to double check this)

One of the best tweeters out there is made by Focal. It cost $500us each(that's internet prices, retail is more)!Tha's 1k for a pair.Changing your tweeter won't give you much better results.A better amp would make your system sound better because it will give you cleaner power than your stock bose amp(this amp is punny & can't deliver much clean power)

TN52's are NOT $500 each...you're referring to the internet price for like the 165 K2P...i have a pair of the TN52's for the sail panel and i did not pay anywhere close to $500 for BOTH...

I'd say that Focals are probably some of the more popular speakers on this board. Advocated by several very experienced from Pro-audio installers (national compeition winning installs).

You're mistakened.I'm referring to the Focal Audiom TLR( Sound Quality Competition tweeters). They are on sale for $500 each & again retail is much more!

tweets are mostly a user opinion option.. the focals are the best marketed tweets and great for SQL...

but for 500$ .. i dont think anyone gonna pay that much for 2-4 inches of magnet and tit or silk..

yes amps make the biggest diff in SQL as well.. but i suggested AVIs as cost-friendly and the best sounding IMHO for that price range...

:p

dude didn't say he was doing competitions...the TN52 is a perfect replacement for the Bose tweeter...

and you can spend as much as you want on speakers...it doesn't matter horse **** unless you know placement and acoustics...I think for yushinrt's purpose of finding an adequate replacement the TN52's will satiate his palate...i worked magic with TN51's in the past and Focal has done an outstanding job on the 52's to totally outdo their work on the 51's...

so i'm not mistaken...i'm just pointing him to a more logical and cost efficient option...

Well you did mistaken.First of all I just answered his question,"What's the best tweeter" & that's the Focal Audiom TLR.You try to correct me by saying I got my prices wrong and thought I was reffering to your tn52 so you are wrong. His question was not "what's the most cost efficient option tweeter"
