Water temp gauge problem

Just got done hooking up my nordskog water temp gauge.. and doesn't seem to work. temp stays at 375 deg F.

Here's my setup.





did i hook up anything incorrectly?

Yup. You hooked up both the ground and the gauge's sender unit wire to the same terminal. The correct ground location is the sending unit's body:

yea thanks. jus solved it. i work at a machine shop so i jus fabbed up a ring to go around the sensor body with a threaded hole i put a screw into to keep it in place/connect the grounding wire
