Unorthodox subwoofer instillation
I have an odd question. I plan on installing 2 12 kickers but at the moment he money isn't there but I do happen to have a paradigm 10 home audio subwoofer and I'm looking for a quick way to install it to hold me over uniill I get real subs. Would this be possible?

Well I've got the sub already. I wouldwnt rly be spending any money. It has an internal amp already. If I just spend a few bucks on instillatio I won't rly care. I'm addicted to bass and I'm looking for more of it. Lots. just gna take a while before I cn get my real subs. Most likely in august

We're gonna need more details on your sub to advise one way or the other. Also, do you have an aftermarket deck? The stock one can be a real pain.

It's all stock but I've got big plans for my baby. I guess I'm just going to wait till august seeing as it might be more of a pain than I realized. If anyone knows a good solution I'll take it but if not.. Haha august can't come soon enough. But I have always wondered, will subs affect the 8s perfect balance enough to make a difference or not?

Don't do that, a bass driver designed for home audio is not built to withstand the heat in the trunk, glue/rubber surround will perish pretty quickly and give way.
Depends on the design of the driver, most home audio has shorter voice coil because they rely on the large chamber/ported box to create the frequency/db required, hence less stroke on the cone, on the other hand car woofer has longer stroke, as car has less space for box, thus they require more stroke and cone movement to create the same frequency/db, there are many other things to consider as well, so I would suggest to save up and get the right drivers.
edit: I re-read your question, and realised you're going to just put in the entire home theater sub-box in the trunk? I would highly against it.

You can go Ghetto if you want, after all we are in America. Here's what you'll need.
$26.00 for a dc/ac power inverter. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Tripp-Lite...let/3910265#rr
$19.88 lineout converter http://www.walmart.com/ip/Scosche-Ad...ts/10756155#rr
I would recommend the few extra bucks and get this line converter instead. $23.45 http://cgi.ebay.com/Stinger-Adjustab...item3f05b54904

I mounted my whole home surround sound system in my car I just drilled holes in the pillars and screwed them in and covered it with duct tape kind of like they do at concerts it sounds amazing! Little bit of distortion though but I wired them correctly I think sometimes there's a slight burning smell but I think that possibly could be the clutch?

You can do as I mentioned above to install and use your home subwoofer.
Do you really think that if dc/ac power inverters caught on fire as frequently as has been stated that anyone would make them? What sort of liability would that create on the companies making them? I agree cheap one's are not as good as expensive ones, but on a limited budget they will work.
You simply jack the line converter into the wires going to your 6x9's in the rear dash, rca's from the converter to the amp in your home theater sub, and hook the ac plug from the sub into the power inverter and run the inverter through the access to the cigaretter lighter plug in the center console. Wallah you are bumping.
Don't be a pud, just do it. In order to use dude's subs you're going to need an amp, an amp wiring kit, and if the amp does not have a built in line converter then you are going to need one anyways.
If you are going to truely do it correctly then you need an aftermarket head unit and a mounting kit (the metra kit for the rx8 is $150.00 not including a head unit). Depending on the amperage draw on your electrical system from your amplifier, you are either going to kill your alternator, or you'll at least need a secondary battery.
When I was kid I had a ghetto system or two. One consisted of an Alpine 4 channel amplifier, 2-10's in a bandpass box, and had a portable cd player that I was using as a head unit. Believe it or not my car sounded better than alot of more fortunate people's cars.
It's your car so you can do whatever you want, but I think certain things are a certain right of passage as a young pup.

Alright so since I lack a job and money I had to go kinda cheap. 2 12 Sony xplods a 760w pioneer and capacitor for 150 with a box the box just dosnt fit so I'ma sell it and get a custom box. But at least I now have subs.
