Unknown Plug

I found a 12 pin connector in the rear console. Can anyone tell me what this is for?

Thanks.

Did you but your car used? Maybe the last owner had an AMP or custom car PC in it?

Never mind, its related to the NAV system. The manual mentions a device that should be there for the map DVD's

The NAV DVD system IS back there..... but I think it's normally UNDER the console? Maybe previous owner installed it themselves or made some modifications?

that appears to be what plugs into the dvd rom drive that boots the nav.

Custom plug for sure. Don't know for what though. the OEM nav system sits where the plug comes through the plastics. If you had nav and it was removed, there would be a big gaping hole in the back of that cubby, rather then the single neat hole with a wiring harness attached.
