I've done full AV system installs in our other cars, but have not started the project in the 8 yet, so anyone with actual experiance putting them into the 8 may be able to give you a little more definate info. IMO it looks like the best place is overhead (one of the flip down styles...a small one). The hard plastic on the back of the seat is too small to fit a screen and still look professional, and the leather starts too far down to be functional. Two small folddowns (Myron & Davis makes a 10.2 that MIGHT look good, but you might need to find something smaller) behind each of the seats would probably be the best you are going to get.

As far as Nav in the back....well....my wife is already a bad enough "back seat driver," I'm not sure I'd want the Nav back there as well. =)

now that's funny with the wife...I know about back seat drivers, but I also would want to know about the flip downs too. Has anyone done this in their 8 yet?

You can accomplish that with one of these: http://www.avelectronic.com/NavigationVid-Switcher.htm

(Also for sale for a little less $ from here http://www.mazdaparts.com/ProductDet...000-1154409191)

There is also a cheaper version (the one I have) but that is designed for people who only want to be able to watch it from the screen up front. With the more expensive version, you can hook up 3 additional LCD displays in your car.
