i know that plenty of people around here with subs in their trunk are tag rattling beasts and i hate that sound. So i was wondering if anyone has that proble with their system.

Also, how does it sound inside the car being in the trunk. Ive never been in a car with the subs in the trunk so i dont know how they sound.

IF i get an 8 i do plan on upgrading the audio completely because i like my music. driving wouldnt be the same without music.

 

the trunks have surprisingly little rattle. I get some from inside the driver side tail light, but it's not that bad.

on a scale from 1 to 10 i would say my car rattles a 3 - you can't hear it unless your listening for it.

and the subs sound SWEET it in the trunk. - i have 2 alpine type R 10"s and it's nice!

Your question is too general. It all depends on the brand, size, power level, type of enclosure, angle you have the subs facing, whether or not you are using dynamat, and so on. I used to have a system consisting of two 12" subs with I think it was an 800watt amp, and the tag and trunk would always rattle whenever I turned up the bass. But I never bothered to put on dynamat either.

You say you've never sat in a car with a system. Well go to a shop that installs them and listen to one with your own ears. Most of the time people add a deafening level of bass that cause the entire interior to vibrate and you even feel it on your face.

Those were fun days but my ears are glad they are over for me.

we are speaker crazy here. we have a 2 door dakota sport with barely any room for speakers and we fit some in there. we have a tahoe with a custom designed box and 15" subs. we even have a miata with 8" subs in it. but what we diont have is a car with speakers in the trunk.

actually junky i might take u up on that offer sometime. i have a friend that goes to college in nashville and we might go to visit him sometime. i'd love to hear a nice system such as yours before actually doing it. I saw yours in another post and i'm looking to do something like that.
