Unhappy Subwoofer volume fluctuations??

I just installed custom fiberglass box, with 12'' type r. I beleive I'm running it at 600 watts with the MRD-M605 Alpine Amp (Monoblock Class D). I am yet to make an enclosure for the amp, in the "well" in the trunk. Anyway today I turned my car on, and it seemed as if as this rap song was playing, with relatively heavy bass, (I had my bass turned to "0" on the HU, and I'm not running the amp at very low gains yet, I need to break everything in) that the bass was fluctuating up and down. At one point the bass would be at its normal level, and then all of a sudden get much heavier. It looked like the amp was drawing around 13 volts, which was strange because it was only drawing 11-12 the past few days. Anyway the car is having electrical issues, most likely from the amp, so it was towed to the dealer today.
ALso I have the bose system, and using a line output converter. Any suggestions??

Thanks in advance, Greg

You may want to make sure the Auto Pilot feature is turned off on the radio. I had the same problem back when I had my factory HU..
