subwoofer install!

i got tired of having a huge heavy wooden box taking up my entire trunk so i decided to do a custom fiberglass enclosure

here are some pics of the project and some finished pictures~ sorry for the blur i took these with my camera phone

anyways i was going to make the box go all the way across making it one big box but mid way through i decided not to do that and i cut it down the middle so they're visible from the inside of teh car~

im pretty impressed by how hard they hit and the sound quality i wasnt sure what was going to happen wheni faced the subs toward eachother, they hit a little less hard then if i faced them toward the rear of the trunk but not a huge difffernce

I like it! Although I think the walls of the box look mighty thin..but then again I've never worked with the stuff so I don't know how thick it SHOULD be.. but let us know how it sounds

no its much thicker i just didnt post the pictures after i put a few layers on i think i probably put around 8 layers of fiberglass matting / cloth

by the way if anyone wants to fiberglass something the fiberglass matting is easily 5 times stronger than the cloth
