this probably has well been covered but I have looked everywhere and can't find anything on it. I just would like to know what the expansion slot is on the stock head unit? why is it there if its not being used?

also I have looked for possibly what would go in there and yet again NOTHING!

It's for a minidisc player or cassette. Old tech.

 

well i think in that case im gonna cut out a piece of plexy glass and wire in some red LEDs to make it look cool, or take the existing black piece cut out RX-8 in the middle and put LEDs behind that
