ive been having this problem for several weeks now, when im driving (and only when im driving...i dont experience the problem when im stoped) it sounds like a cricket noise is comming from the area of my radio unit (where you put the cd and the volume control). when i apply pressure to the area just under the cd player it subsides for a brief moment, then when i let go it returns. also, this is happening all of the time whether or not i have a cd in the player. it is more prevelent at night with the everything on (lights, a/c, radio)....what is going on?? its driving my nuts when im in the car driving!

 

I would have to say you have some loose metal on metal contact. Get in there and reposition/tighten everything up.
