1)Has anyone tried to use the DICE R2 with their 04 car and got text to come up?

2)Has anyone tried to get a stereo from a 05-08 stereo that has the sat button in their 04 car?

3)Does the Axxcess have a pass through so you can still have a tape deck or MD player?

4)With the MP3 CD option on the car if you upgrade an 04 Radio do you get CD text?

5) Does the 05+ Radio with a sat button support the MD player or tape deck?

1) I'm fairly sure this will not work. My understanding is that year/model of head unit cannot produce text/data through the external changer port. The head units with the SAT button can do so (and that's where the factory SAT radio system plugs in).

2) Not sure if anyone's tried this, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I'm not aware of any wire harness changes coming from the main wiring trunk.

3) No - if you plug the Axxess into that port, you lose any MD or Tape unit.

4) I believe you only get text on the '04 head unit through the MD add-on. That port supports text, which is why you *can* get text on an '04 head unit with the Axxess iPod adapter.

5) Yes, all of the head units support the MD / Tape port.

cool thanks a lot, that really helped. I think im going to go with the axxess unit then and foreget about ever getting a MD/tape player.
